I’ve been busy working on new exciting projects, including a collaborative Etsy shop, and finishing up my school work. Below is a sneak peek of my thesis. If you are in NYC, I invite you to come see the amazing work done by the graduating class at the Fashion Institute of Technology Design Museum. The work will be on view till May 22.

I’ve been busy working on my thesis. I designed four handbags and am in the process of sewing them and creating accompanying artwork. Can’t wait to finish and share the results with all of you.
This is a bag I made a year ago (you can see it mentioned here and here on the blog). The photo was taken by a good friend, A Vee Photo who is also a part of the duo at Ian and Inna Photography; you should go see her wonderful work.

This was my entry for a contest I recently participated in. A dress shoe and boot for upcoming fall. The design is based on mixing materials and utilizes: herringbone, leather and a jelly strap with stainless steel accents.

Is anyone else making shoes in their bathroom or is it just me?
This is just a mockup, but I have made fully functional shoes with close to zero equipment before. Sorry that the image quality isn’t ideal, I just thought this was funny and had to share. Treating myself to a new camera for Christmas, really excited.
This is a spring collection of sneakers inspired by Gola and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens (during the cherry blossom festival). They go with the basketball shoes I recently posted. It’s a vintage-inspired collection of plimsolls updated with fun materials and patterns. You can see the designs and a swatch collection I pulled to use with them.
Hi everyone, sorry for my short absence. I was away visiting A Vee, we got some amazing work done. I love collaborating with her, she is a great artist and friend. I wish we could work together more often. Don’t forget to check out more of her photography, she is always listed under “links” in the sidebar.
Clutch: Handmade and designed by CandleAshes. Hot pink and lime green sheepskin, hot pink silk lining.

A sneak peek of my new shoe designs. Finished lasting these yesterday, just need to have shoe repair put heels on them.
This is a small footwear and handbag collection I recently put together. It is inspired by the StyleSight Color Premiere Juniors Spring/Summer 2012 color guide in Analogue. I felt that the neutral palette with accents of bold color went well with elegant and practical accessory options with decorative features. I designed a print (inspired by decorative stitching on the sneakers), a plaid and pulled a scanned denim to go wit the color palette. You will recognize one of the handbags below from a previous post.
